Facade lighting is essentially lighting up of buildings, heritage monuments, temples, airports & railway stations, etc. Efficient facade lighting creates vibrancy in structures in which glazing of stone, glass, or as dull as cement is used.

Facade lighting uses a gamut of different products to accentuate the architecture. The different ways to light up are :

  1. Uplighting/ Downlight:  This technique of lighting using beams of various angles depending on the area to be light up. The beam angles can vary from 3o to 20o as per the designer's intent.

  2. Wall lighting: The linear wall grazers are generally available in 2' or 4’ lengths and are ranging  from 18W –  60W  depending on site requirements & designer’s intent. The beam angle could be both symmetric and asymmetric types. This product enhances the beauty of the entire space.

  3. Spot lighting: These types of lights are used for the trees, and shrubs lighting. These lights are also used for Arch lighting where the beams are asymmetrical & also used to light up murals. Spot lights are also IP- 66 rated which are carefully connected using GEL Connectors.

  4. Flood Lighting: These types of lighting is powerful & is used for general lighting of the place. The lights are used for general illumination of the buildings and monuments keeping in mind that they should not add to light pollution.

The general advantage & benefit of facade lighting is not only to beautify but also to maintain the safety & security of people visiting the premises. These lighting enhances user experiences & gives the user benefits in terms of understanding of the lighting design and architecture of the space.
