A known expert in the area of Civil Engineering with the highest accolade achievement from Thomson College of Engineering (now IIT-Roorkee), he has been involved in major construction activities in India that took place between the years 1955-1979. He retired as Director General (CPWD), which is the highest position in Engineering Services in India.
He also held the position of the Managing Director of NBCC and President of Indian Roads Congress. He has been awarded laurels by the Deputy Prime Minister of India for his accomplishments in the area of Civil Engineering. He is a senior member of the Delhi Public School Society which has 120 schools all over the world.
