Instapower offers quality street lighting system based on LED technology and solar energy. It manufactures solar street lights and LED street lights. in these LED street lights, the light source is Light Emitting Diode and light output is white color, peak intensity 58 lux in model 1 and 78 lux in model 2 when measured from a height of 10 ft and illuminated over an area of at least 70 sq. ft.
Our street lighting system utilizes high quality LEDs imported from Agilent (USA), Nichia (Japan). The average duty cycle is dusk to dawn and autonomy is 4 days.
The light source is housed in a water resistant assembly and multiple LEDs can be used. The light output from the light source is kept constant. There is no linear variation with changes in the input battery voltage, i.e. 10.5 V DC-13.5 V DC
SMF battery is used, which has a life of 2-3 years. 75 % of the rated capacity of the battery should be between fully charged & load cut off conditions.

ELECTRONICS
We ensure that the total electronic efficiency should be at least 85 %.
We ensure that the idle current consumption should not be more than 1 mA.
Necessary lengths of wires/cables and fuses provided.
The PV module will be used to sense the ambient light level for switching ON and OFF the lamp.
Pv Module
The PV module(s) contain crystalline silicon solar cells.
The PV Module voltage = 12VDC
The terminal box on the module has the provision for opening for replacing the cable
A strip containing the following details is laminated inside the module so as to be clearly visible from the front side.
Electronic Protections
• Adequate protection incorporated under no load conditions, e.g. when the lamp is removed and the system is switched ON.
• The system has protection against battery overcharge and deep discharge conditions.
• LEDs are protected using a special patent applied technology.(LPM Technology)
• We ensure that the fuses are provided to protect against short circuit conditions.

A blocking diode, is provided as part of the electronic protection to prevent reverse flow of current through the PV module, in case such a diode is not provided with the solar module.
• Protection against open circuit, accidental short circuit and reverse polarity provided.
Mechanical Hardware
• A metallic frame structure (with corrosion resistance paint) to be fixed on the pole to hold the SPV module. The frame structure have provision to adjust its angle of inclination to the horizontal between 0 and 45, so that the module can be oriented at the specified tilt angle.
• A vented, acid proof and corrosion resistant painted metallic box for outdoor use is provided for housing the battery.
• The pole is made of mild steel pipe with a height of 4 metres above the ground level, after grouting and final installation. The pole has the provision to hold the weather proof lamp housing. It is painted with a corrosion resistant paint.
